I suppose the same principle applies to commercial DVD9 discs. I also use
DVD+R SL mostly, but there are exceptions, depending on certain contents. My
irritation was mainly based on the fact that consumers can't identify what
they buy when the printed inlays are identical. So in this way the strategy
of sticking to media which tested good in the past is useless...

Yes, durability is another aspect. Well I really hope to expect these will
be playable for much longer than three years! Is it really that much to
expect?? I'll keep my fingers crossed... I always do take good care for
storage and handling.

Sometimes I also use compression or splitting strategy, but it can't always
be applied. Specially not compression when the original's contents is really
8,5 GB.
