Paul-
Thanks for answering. This is all highly confusing.
The closest I can come to an explanation is in the manual where it says, "A DVD-RW disc
that has been recorded by DAO (Disc At Once) in a PC canot be unfinalized." Of course I'm
using a +RW and it doesn't say anything about that.
So I took a DVD-RW and stuck it in my computer and started Nero. Under Extended Settings
just before you burn the DVD, there is a Write Method option with a drop down box that says
Disc-at-once, and a checkbox that says Finalize Disc. However, all that stuff is greyed out.
Therefore I assume that all the disks I burn with Nero are DAO, which could be the problem.
Maybe I need another burning program. What are the alternatives to Disc-at-once?
I still need more research but I may be getting closer. I could call product support but you
know how that goes.
