Obviously n this case the OP is too impatient to capture from tape so
he'll probably be too impatient to run off a tape at the end.
On a serious note the switch to solid state is pretty much inevitable
for better or worse. I regularly send SD files for proofing to clients
and there is no reason why this would not become the standard operating
practice if it isn't already.
