Wow, thanks for all the great advice & ideas. I had searched for
previous postings about this, but none had the info that I was looking
for.
Ty, it sucks that you had so many problems with FE & the equipment,
but I guess that's the price we pay for being the first to try out new
devices. Hopefully you were using tape too and didn't lose too much of
your footage.
Ushere, the network does prefer if I just hand over the tape. But what
sort of freelancer would I be if I gave up my only copy? ;) Of course
many times that's all I can do since it would take way too long for me
to make a copy first.
All things considered, it sounds like a good deck would be a better
investment for me. Don't get me wrong, I'd love an XDCAM, but my
wallet is still cooling off from Christmas.
So, this may be in another posting somewhere, but do you guys mind if
I ask what software and decks (if any) you use? I'm currently using
Premier Pro...no deck.
