It would be and I would hope the studios see the light. But so far,
none of them ever have, on both sides.
For BD they kept making them more complex or adding a sound codec that
wasn't supported by any player.
For HDDVD, most studios didn't bother with TrueHD at all, even though
all of them have supported it from the beginning.
Lots of missteps here, imo.
