Running with this idea, I come across a cheaper device called digital voice
recorder (e.g. olympus WS-311M) that sells for around $100. A tie clip mic
sells for around $20. Although frequency response of this mic is only 12Khz,
not many people can reach that frequency in their speech.
It is not pro audio device at all. But for this particular application, it
looks like it should work. The voice recorder is also smaller than the
microtrack. But I have not seen this device discussed in this group. Is
there some problem I haven't thought of?
