Sorry but that's absolute BS.
PCs are just as video-capable as a Mac.
The simple truth is that, short of hooking cameras up to a video
switcher that has these capabilities and feeding that to something like
a Canopus ADVC-100 and then to your computer, the Tricaster is the
simplest, smallest and cheapest solution out there on any platform.
If that sounds like I'm slamming the Mac platform, that's definitely not
true as I rent a Mac-based system (recording direct to a Lacie hard
drive through a Mac laptop running FCP) for my 3-camera portablre
