Search results & the chat channels list on the other hand arrive via UDP, so
if you can't list/search, then your UDP port is likely blocked. If you look
at the window title for WinMX you'll see something like P=4 S=0 SPM=5678.
If "S=" is always equal to zero then your TCP port is probably also blocked.
Configure any router/firewall that you might have running to cure it.
