Maybe not for your exact application, but as a general rule, your statement
is a crock of bull. With our production truck, we routinely do live shoots
where there are multiple ISO's, and one of the things EVERY client is
concerned with is time code sync. Especially if it's a big, long concert
with 5 or 6 ISO's. The reason is that the editor won't have to capture
everything from every reel just to fix a little problem on the switched
master. For example, if the director hit a camera a little early, and all
you want to do is continue with the previous shot a little bit longer, then
you're only capturing a few seconds from that reel to make the fix, instead
of importing the whole reel.
