First, thanks for the reply. I feel better about how I have it hooked
up, even though it seemed to work OK.

My player has a setting for PCM or Bitstream. Since I use the coax to
input my receiver for both DVD's and CD's, I chose Bitstream. It says
that Bitstream will allow the DTS decoder to decipher the data.

There is another setting for Sample Frequency. The setting choices are
96kHz and 48kHz. I set it at 96kHz since it is a newer receiver.

The video portion of the settings are more easily understood by me.
Since I do not have a HD TV I use the 4:3 aspect ratio.

All in all, the system seems to be working well as far as the audio
goes. I do not have many disks (CD & DVD) that utilize all the
capabilities, but I just wanted to make sure I had it set up so that it
would when I played one. Thanks again for your help.
