Plus, VHS didn't go away two days after DVD arrived--
Yes, DVD made you loathe and despise your old plastic boxes, in a way
that HD doesn't with DVD, but you could still watch your tapes while
slowlys upgrade your library as the new "replacements" were just
starting to come out with the more common technology.
As long as all three formats (counting dual) can still play standard
DVD, it's going to be a slow, slow, SLOW evolution in the marketplace.
(Meanwhile, we can sit back and watch asjbiotek grow more "Lalala, I'm
not listening, neener-neener-poopyheads! :-P " petulant, now that he's
coming to grips with how "undercover" net Viral Marketing wasn't as easy
as Sony told him it would be.)
